You will never have to search through thousands of confusing online spreadsheets alone. Your personal designer and gemologist guide you to the perfect stone for your setting and budget.

THE FOUNDATION OF BRILLIANCE

Understanding the 4 Cs

The 4 Cs are the universal standard for assessing diamond quality. Here is how Wove ensures your diamond shines with maximum brilliance.

THE MOST CRITICAL 'C'

1. Cut & Proportions

Cut determines how effectively a diamond interacts with light—and has one of the greatest impacts on its brilliance, fire, and overall beauty. Wove prioritizes diamonds with strong proportions and exceptional light performance, helping you compare stones based on how they actually look—not simply the grade printed on a certificate.

NATURAL TONE & WARMTH

2. Color Grading

Diamond color is graded from D (colorless) to Z (noticeable yellow or brown tint). There is no single “best” color grade—the right choice depends on your preferences, setting, budget, and the overall look you want to achieve. Our designers can source and curate diamonds across the full color spectrum, helping you compare options and choose the stone that feels right for you.

EYE-CLEAN ASSURANCE

3. Clarity

Clarity measures the natural inclusions and surface characteristics found in a diamond, with grades ranging from Flawless (FL) to Included (I). A higher clarity grade isn’t always necessary to achieve a beautiful diamond. Our designers help you compare stones across the clarity spectrum, balancing appearance, value, and budget—and identifying diamonds that appear eye-clean when that’s important to you.

WEIGHT & SPREAD

4. Carat Weight & Spread

Carat measures a diamond’s weight—not how large it looks. Two diamonds with the same carat weight can appear noticeably different in size depending on their shape, depth, and proportions. We help you compare both carat weight and face-up dimensions so you can choose a diamond with the visual presence, finger coverage, and overall proportions you love.

TRANSPARENT SELECTION

Natural vs. Lab-Created Diamonds

Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are 100% genuine diamonds—chemically, physically, and optically identical pure carbon crystals with a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale.

Natural Diamonds: Formed deep within the Earth over billions of years. Each is an ancient geological miracle, GIA-certified with an individual laser inscription.

Lab-Grown Diamonds: Grown using advanced CVD or HPHT technology replicating Earth's conditions. Certified by IGI or GIA, offering remarkable value for larger carat sizes.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Diamond Sourcing & Certification FAQs

Everything you need to know about diamond origins, grading documentation, and heirloom redesign.

Are Wove diamonds conflict-free?

Yes, 100%. All Wove diamonds comply fully with the Kimberley Process and the System of Warranties mandated by the United Nations, guaranteeing that every rough diamond is conflict-free and ethically sourced.

Do your diamonds come with independent grading certificates?

Yes. All diamonds 0.50 carat and larger include an independent grading report from a reputable gemological laboratory, including GIA or IGI. Most also feature the certificate number laser-inscribed on the diamond’s girdle, providing an added layer of identification, verification, and peace of mind.

Can I use my own heirloom diamond in a custom Wove ring?

Absolutely! We specialize in heirloom jewelry redesign. Our gemologists and designers can inspect your heirloom gemstone and create a brand-new custom setting to give your family treasure new life.

How do I choose between natural and lab-grown diamonds?

Both are physically and optically identical. Natural diamonds carry timeless geological rarity, while lab diamonds offer exceptional value and larger carat weight. Your Wove designer will guide you to the ideal match for your preference and budget.
